The Ultimate Food Scouts Guide to Barcelona 11th September – 17th September 2017

Visiting Barcelona this week? We have some tips for you! Whether you fancy a craft beer launch or a vintage shopping market, we have a whole bunch of tasty suggestions. If you’re looking for a Barcelona bar or restaurant reviews, we have plenty more recommendations on our blog. We publish a new weekly guide every Monday, so pop by every week for more ideas.

MONDAY 11th September 2017

Budding brewers can join a Beer Brewing Course from Cerveza Artesana (73 Carrer Vila i Vilà) starting today, it’s probably a bit late to get involved this time, but this 5 day brewing course happens on a regular basis and teaches all you need to get started. At just over €1000, it’s a serious investment, but for those budding brewers we’re sure it’d be money well spent! We’d love to get our butts on a course ASAP!

TUESDAY 12th September 2017

Film and cocktail fans get yourself to Polaroid Bar (29 Carrer dels Còdols) from 8pm, for another free projection, this one is part of a new Tuesday night documentary theme and they’re showing When You’re Strange: a film about The Doors tonight with beers for only €1.50.

WEDNESDAY 13th September 2017

One of our more obscure event finds is Stoner Yoga, which initially we thought appealed to our love of the green stuff, but upon further investigation is actually a Yoga class set to Stoner and Doom music, a type of metal music. So, it’s still kinda awesome and we’re still kinda tempted. Class starts at 7pm at Hidden Factory Barcelona. Not sure of the price, but it’s happening weekly.

THURSDAY 14th September 2017

Do you love Ramen as much as we do? Want to learn how to make it from some of Barcelona’s Asian cooking experts? Wo Kitchen continue their series of cooking classes with a Ramen Masterclass today. The course kicks off from 7.30pm and is very reasonably priced at €35. You get two hours of classes and one hour of eating, sounds awesome to us.

FRIDAY 15th September 2017

Time for some street food? Head to El Born between 12-8pm for the BORN Street Food fair as part of La Merce, you’ll find a few local vendors at Pla de Palau.

Starting today and running tomorrow as well is ECO Market & Flea Market at Pedralbes Centre, this free entry market just outside of the centre of the city is offering second hand wares as well as eco-friendly beauty and fashion items. Entry is free, so well worth checking out.

It’s Friday, that means that craft beer consumption is essential! Luckily for us Garage Beer Co are launching TWO new cans today and as if it was an event designed for us, one is a hoppy number and the other a Barcelona Weisse with red fruits. Yum. The launch event is happening at their Universtat bar from 6pm. If you miss it, don’t worry you’ll find their cans at various bars and bottleshops across the city soon enough.

SATURDAY 16th September 2017

Love skate culture as much as we do? There’s a special street market happening today dedicated to longboarding and skating, Skate Street Market kicks off from 11am at CEM La Mar Bella in Poblenou. Entry is free and they’ll be workshops, swapshops, stalls and more.

Looking to explore just outside of the city? Head to seaside town Castelldelfells tonight for a open air cinema event showing of one of our fave 80s movies, Ghostbusters as part of Nits Al Castell. The event opens from 6pm with the film at 10pm, they’ll also be street food and DJs to enjoy.

Apparently street markets are a strong theme this weekend, both today and tomorrow you can visit All Those Food Market (1 Plaça de les Arts) for a fair entry fee of just €2. The market has covered all food categories, so a great place for a snack or to do your food shopping from some local producers. They’ll be more than 60 vendors selling!

SUNDAY 17th September 2017

Skint and want to shop? Here’s a great event for you, Mercadillo on the Garage (78 Carrer Zamora) is a second hand market that is coming to Poblenou today from 11am with free entry. We’ve visited a few flea markets here and they are always interesting for their vast variety of products on offer.

If you’re specifically looking for vintage fashion, Barcelona legends Lost&Found are celebrating 10 years of their market with an event starting at 11am at Moll de la Fusta.

Go visit the beautiful Tibidabo whilst shopping more second hand and vintage today with the Barcelona Vintage Market, it’s free entry and will also have street food, music and more for the whole family.
