The Ultimate Food Scouts Guide to Barcelona: 21st August – 27th August 2017

MONDAY 21st August

Our pals at sock company, AparTTogether are having a party today to launch their latest collaboration with STARZ, head to the awesome Montana Cafe & Restaurant (Comerç nº 4) from 7pm for music, special offers on the new socks and other tasty treats.

If you’ve ever dreamed of watching Star Wars’ Rogue One on the big screen whilst in a swimming pool, here’s your chance with Club Esportiu Mediterrani (44-52 Carrer Begur) tickets are only €5 and it’s recommended to book in advance if you can.

Today is also the last day of Festes Mejor de Gracia if you want to go check out the incredible street decorations, we went on Saturday and it was truly awesome!

TUESDAY 22nd August

Time for an Open Mic! Craft Barcelona (4 Carrer de Paradis) are hosting their weekly open mic tonight, you can sign up to perform music, comedy or magic! In a prime central location, this could be a great start to your night, plus it’s free!

WEDNESDAY 23rd August

It’s Festes Mejor de Sants this week, another of our favourite areas so there’s a lot of exciting stuff happening this week in this part of town. Head to Carrer del Valespirs for free live music tonight from 10.30pm, the bill has a ska and old school rock’n’roll vibe with The Sick Boys and the Barcelona Ska-Jazz Orchestra.

One of our favourite street food vans, The Big Whim is celebrating it’s 1st Anniversary this week, so you can go give them high fives and eat some awesome burgers whilst in Sants too. They’re going to be pitched up at Commission Parties Rossend Arús – FM Sants.

THURSDAY 24th August

Street art is a big news in Barcelona, you can’t walk down a street without seeing something colourful or creative, it’s part of the reason we love this city. If you’re itching to learn more, you can join a Street Art Course today with Secle Style and Alternative Barcelona, tickets are €25 but include materials and booze.

FRIDAY 25th August

Do you love metal music? Head to Hellfire (128 Violant d’Hongria) for cheap drinks and heavy music until 6am. Entrance is between €5-9 but includes a drink and in a twist of fate, if you turn up in swimwear you’ll get a free Hawaiian flower leis too, cos that’s well metal.

SATURDAY 26th August

Looking to skank and drink craft beer in Barcelona? You need to head to La Gorda Beer Factory (29 Carrer Riego) from 7pm for DJs spinning ska, rocksteady and early reggae tunes. Plus, it’s Festes Mejor de Sants so the local area is sure to be buzzing more than normal.

Mikkeller (202 Carrer Valencia) is continuing to kill it with their creative events today, this time it’s DrunKaraoke, for €25 you can join the competition, included in the ticket price is your slot, food, drink & a contribution to the winning drunken singers prize. The event states that you cannot be sick in the entrance and Lady Gaga songs are banned. Ok then, we’ll save our sick for elsewhere.

SUNDAY 27th August

Time for a chilled out Sunday with live music, tapas and Vermut at LUTE Bar & Bowl (9 Carrer de Sant Medir) celebrating the new album from Nerea Bassart. A great way to close a week of partying around Sants.

Did we miss something awesome? Let us know in a comment or tweet @wearefoodscouts, or don’t either way is fine with us.
